I’ll be working with Artists For Kids this July at the Paradise Valley Summer School for the Visual Arts as the guest artist for Junior Kids – ages 8-12. I’m really looking forward to spending time at the farm site on Cheakamus River, with chickens, goats and pigs too! This week-long adventure is a partnership with AFK, who do wonderful work making visual arts accessible for kids in public school, we’ll be exploring ideas of landscape, architecture and collage with the group.
For every issue, subTerrain magazine asks an artist to read their prose, poetry and writings in order to create a visual response, published alongside the written texts. Through an exceptional process inspired by the issue’s theme of THE FUTURE, I was invited to create a series of collages and Ben-Day dot fields, the results of which can be seen in issue 76 of subTerrain, and on this site under the Drawing + Print section. You can visit your local bookseller (YES!), or major sellers like Chapters/Indigo to find a copy. Visit www.subterrain.ca for your subscription!
I’m excited to share that I have a feature piece in the March 2017 issue of Discorder Magazine, the monthly publication from CiTR Radio 101.9 FM, established in 1983. They support local Vancouver music, art and culture, and envision the monthly calendar as a printed matter collectible. You can see my calendar feature and read the whole issue online at www.discorder.ca
